Writing and Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month

Today where I live there was a celebration for the whole community in honor of Hispanic Heritage month. Today there are over 40 million Hispanic Americans living in the U.S. From September 15th -October 15th we celebrate 20 Hispanic countries from Central America, South America and Europe. What a great time to learn about these countries. I created a "My County" book which you can download by clicking on the image above. Your child can draw and write about one of these countries by doing some research on the internet . This will help them practice their writing skills that are aligned with the Common Core State standards for 2nd and 3rd grade.
If you would like to get  more information and free resources about Hispanic Heritage Month just click on the image below. there's even a video on how to do the Macarena!!!!
Thanks for all you do to make a difference for your children.

I didn't even know a tutorial on how to dance the macarena was even needed these days. They played the song last week at my usual olongapo club and everyone knew what to do right away.
